Dressing Your Candles

All candles should be anointed with oil. The color of wax gives you a general purpose and the oil defines your goal. Only candles used for illumination during power outages should go without dressing. There are many schools of thought when it comes to the proper way to dress or anoint your candle. We recommend that if you find a way that feels right, go with it. In the meanwhile we recommend starting at the top and working your way toward the center, then rubbing from the bottom up toward the center. Remember to anoint the top, the bottom and the wick.
